Meet Michael: Cirkled In’s $2500 “Back to School” Scholarship Winner!

When we asked Michael how his family, friends, and teachers would describe him, this is what he said: Texas-Oklahoma Key Club Lieutenant Governor, Band Vice President, National Honors Society, Homecoming Prince, determined, a great listener, and a great friend.

In talking with Michael’s family and teachers, we discovered all this and more to be true! One of Michael’s most impactful projects was starting a reading program for elementary-age kids in his district. He and members of his key club spent time every week reading out loud to young students, which contributed to improved academic performance for many of the youngsters.

Michael will be heading off to Baylor University this fall, where he plans to study Biology as the first step towards his dream of becoming a physician. Michael has spent countless hours helping others, and wanted to find a career that would allow him to continue to help people while utilizing his expertise in math and science.
